About Maxine Mjøen

I practice my art with two major goals: keep exploring and stay curious.

I was born and raised in North Dakota and have a strong desire to explore the world. Soon I will be moving to the east coast and have big ideas for the direction my art will flow.

I hold a BFA in Painting from Minnesota State University Moorhead. I was the summer 2019 intern at the Jamestown Arts Center in Jamestown, North Dakota, and have been shown in juried shows and student exhibitions in Minnesota and Hawaii. 

All my art is created using cruelty free materials, and always with the environment in mind.
